Dan Heaney

Hello listener, I’m Dan Heany, an overner who has been in love with the Island since I came here on a youth camp back in 1968. I have returned more than almost 50 times since then and have now finally retired and moved to just outside Sandown with my lovely wife Jacquie, who loves the place as much as I do.

This is my first foray into radio and I have to say it’s a blast. The other folks here have been very supportive and helpful, especially Martyn Bonner who allowed me to share his Thursday Afternoon show while learning the ropes. Now I have been let loose with the Monday Teatime Show 4pm – 6pm each week.

As well as Vectis Radio, I am a member of the Medina Community Choir whose concerts I will be plugging at every opportunity. I hope I can look forward to the pleasure of your company next Monday at 4pm.
