Situated in Newport, Vectis Radio is deeply rooted in the local community. Our presenters, everyday locals with a shared enthusiasm for radio, infuse the station with vitality. Vectis Radio serves as a form of "Radio Therapy," allowing individuals of all ages and backgrounds to engage in broadcasting according to their unique style. Our objective is to engage a broad spectrum of community members, fostering confidence and communication skills while simultaneously entertaining our listeners. HISTORY

Founded by Ian Mac in January 2010, Vectis Radio took to the airwaves on FM 104.6 on November 4th, 2017. In 2012, the station introduced an educational initiative targeting individuals aged 11 to 19 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs). This program evolved into The 4Ps Project in 2013, focusing on the core elements of radio: Presenting, Producing, Podcasting, and Promoting. This comprehensive course not only boosts participants' confidence and communication abilities but also equips them with valuable skills for the radio industry.
