At the club level, Shilton played for notable teams including Leicester City, Stoke City, Nottingham Forest, and Southampton.

Peter has received numerous accolades over his career, establishing himself as one of the world's top goalkeepers. Before being honoured with the MBE, OBE, and most recently the CBE in the 2024 New Year Honours, he earned notable awards such as the PFA Player of the Year, the FWA Tribute Award, and his induction into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
