Ryde fire station open day 2026

Hampshire and isle of wight fire and rescue service would like to invite everyone to an open day at Ryde fire station.

We have planned to put on a good show of everything we do and will include live demonstrations throughout the day including live demonstrations from rescues from height to rescuing people from the smokehouse. Showing off some of the equipment we might use.

There will also be other services there on the day, showing off what they do and how we work together. Police, ambulance and inland search and rescue.

Hopefully there will plenty of different activities for all ages, so kids can play firefighter by putting water on a fake house and talk to real life firefighters.

There will be some on site catering, including sweets for kids while maybe the adults can get a tasty wight spud!!

There will also be a raffle where you could win prizes.
