he Isle of Wight Council leader has warned the authority faces an unsustainable financial future following the Governments new multi year funding settlement. Councillor Phil Jordan says the Island is worse off under the Fair Funding Review and has applied for Exceptional Financial Support. He argues higher service costs linked to Island life are not properly recognised and says borrowing to cover budget gaps is not a long term solution.
