The Art of Play - Surrealism with Paul Cowdell at The Art of Wonder, 147 High Street, Ryde (opposite the Iceland store). Come and enjoy poetry, pictures and miniature installations, and a free talk on Sunday 21 June at 2pm. Let us know you are coming so we can save you a chair. Exhibition continues until 4 July.

Paul Cowdell collects things that call to him as he walks along the streets. Often these objects will accumulate on his desk for years until they demand to be assembled into a Surrealist artwork. At the Art of Wonder we have a collection of Paul’s Surrealist photos, drawings and poetry, and these delightful assemblages. Escape the everyday for a while, pop in and doodle mindlessly or fit a piece into our upside-down jigsaw. Hear Paul speak about life as a Surrealist at 2pm on Sunday 21 June (the talk is free but please tell The Art of Wonder you are coming so you are guaranteed somewhere to sit). The exhibition itself continues until 5pm on 4th July and is to be found at 147 High Street, opposite the Iceland store in Ryde.
