Public Transport

Best to always check in with your chosen Public Transport if you are going on an important journey.

 

The main road between Newport and Cowes is one way until April diversions are well signposted and heading toward  Cowes takes you through Forest Road Whitehouse Road, Rose Hill Road and Pallance Road. Travelling from Cowes to Newport use the normal route.

Buses run instead of trains on Island Line between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin due to flooding

 

Closed due to Flooding

In Sandown Morton Road both ways impassable due to flooding from Perowne Way (Sandown) to Morton Old Road (Brading). Also Golf Links Road both ways closed due to flooding between Lower Road and The Fairway.

At Whiteley Bank  Apse Manor Road both ways closed due to flooding from A3020 Shanklin Road (Whiteley Bank) to Ventnor Road (Apse Heath).

In Gatcombe  Sandy Lane both ways closed due to flooding between Whitcombe Road and Gatcombe Road.

Road closures

In Cowes Bellevue Road from Mill Hill Road to Victoria Road. Until 4th February.

In Ryde Pellhurst Road between Pell Lane and Arthur Street. Until 5th February.

In Wroxall High Street both ways  from Clarence Road to West Street. Until 27th February

In Ventnor Southgrove Road from Macrocarpa Road to Grove Road. Until 16:00 on 5th February

 

Temporary Lights and Diversions

In Ryde on A3054 Binstead Road both ways at Ryde House Drive. Until 5th February.

In Ningwood Hill Bouldnor on Ningwood Hill both ways at Cranmore Avenue. Until 0:00 on 30th March.

There are plenty of other roadworks that are put in from time to time with no notice. Please take care.
